No one from the station seems to be responding. What a disaster by WOOD TV!!!!

(Just like the end of the second quarter for the Lions.)

I take it this issue is not limited to Xfinity and also involves their OTA signal? The dumbasses need to find a way to move the broadcast to either WOTV or WXSP.

A massive IT failure in Indianapolis appears to be the culprit.

Amanda Porter was responding on Twitter that it was an NBC issue. Pretty clear it is a Nexstar issue.

Zero issues on WDIV and WILX. It is absolutely a Nexstar issue.

The good news is it's been resolved - at least for now. My folks got the broadcast back moments ago (I just spoke with them on the phone).

Also, how does a TV station not have a continuity plan in place for big events like this?

I understand Universo is carrying a Spanish language broadcast on channel 1232 on Xfinity (in case TV 8 goes off the air again).

Thankfully, I am watching on Peacock!
Dropping knowledge on forum MAGAts.
Unapologetically intellectually superior.

I hope everyone remembers this incident when Nexstar tries shaking down cable-sat providers for increased retrans fees.

This may go down as the biggest snafu in West Michigan broadcast history.

WOTV and WXSP were also dark due to the issue in Indy.

I've been watching the game off antenna, and since it came back on it's just been the raw network feed from NBC — no WOOD-TV graphics or promos.

I give their engineers credit for quickly resolving the issue. Job well done.

Are WOTV and WXSP still off the air?

Amen! This comment is beyond the truth and nearly sent me to the floor laughing because of the deep truth to it.

It looks like everything is back to normal now.
