Larry Figurski Leaving TV Full-time

Unread post by moldyoldie »

According to his Facebook post, Larry will be leaving the sports desk at WOOD-TV to pursue more family time afforded in a position with Advanced Interiors in Jenison. He'll still be available as fill-in and for special projects. I worked with him when he was a young broadcaster and wish him all the best!

We've heard all about the post-Covid career reboot but man, it appears an endless number of people in the TV industry who actually got to spend some extra time with their family while working from home have all come to the same realization, the industry flat out sucks for work/life balance. Good for him, well deserved.

Larry is truly a gentleman and scholar, definitely one of the good guys. He was definitely to the point behind the scenes of The Good The bad and The ugly this business. His wife and kids gave up a lot for him to be in this business. Now it's time for Larry at his heart attack scare a few years ago to give back to his family. All the best of you my friend!
