A little fresh content for the board...
Last week, when the Governor announced the K-12 rest of the year closure, WXMI did a sidebar after Darren Cunningham’s live report, wishing him farewell.
Cunningham was their long-serving “Problem Solver” reporter, probably most impactful on a piece regarding the automated review process that was running amok in the state unemployment benefit system.
He’s apparently gone to WXYZ, which the anchor referred to as their “sister station.” Being an old horse, I am used to Channel 7’s former standing as an ABC O&O.

All the best to Darren Cunningham kinda surprised Darren didn't go to a major market years ago. I wouldn't be surprised if some of his reports from Detroit gets aired on Fox17 from time to time.
