News 8 announced a new anchor lineup and an added 9am Saturday newscast on WOTV in February.

Wow. Quite the effort on WOOD/WOTV's part to obfuscate the fact Ginter's former position is being eliminated in an apparent budget cut.

This morning WOOD TV welcomed Dana Whyte, previously at sister station WLNS Lansing:

During the interview, it's explained that she'll be on Weekend Daybreak (with Donovan Long and Emily Schuitema), as well as her having reporter responsibilities Mondays through Wednesdays on Daybreak.
