Is WSJM still on "Dump Island" in the middle of the St. Joe channel?

No, the building moved to Benton Township in the mid-80s. The area is now a marina/pier.

One road onto and off the island. When I was there in 1978, there was a sewage treatment plant and an oil storage facility. One day, a large amount of oil leaked onto the road. Commuting to and from work was less than enjoyable the next few days -- and trying to clean that stuff off your car was a nightmare!
