lol, every B-Bash every year has its own set of problems, guess every redneck and their other will have to spend a day doing mud bogging their trucks in the rain instead.

I am curious, as to what people think about the "refund" of parking in the form of a voucher for next year. I know giving a refund is not the Clear Channel/I Heart way, but ....

I don't blame B 93 for the cancellation. In the past they might have just had people attend, rain or shine. But with all the bad publicity this event has experienced in t he past, why take a chance on something new to add to the negative list?

Gee, maybe they'll move to the DeltaPlex too.

Seriously. Seems like this thing is a clusterf*ck every year. Give it up B93.

This was not the problem with B93, its the 131 Motorsports park where they don't have a good drainage system in place. Where the stage was set their was a foot of water in front of it, and the parking area was a mess from Saturday's afternoon rain storm.

I think you are missing that $60 for parking is being charged by the park, and is all going to the park. The parking pass money has nothing to do with B93

Where did you get this information? You could not be more wrong. You really think all of the parking revenue is going to the dragstrip? You obviously know nothing about about Clearchannel or events. The parking is the only way they can even come remotely close to doing these shows anymore.

Sounds like it's time to change the venue again.

People have short memories as to why the parking situation was changed. Remember two years ago?

Cancellation was the right move.

Many concert goers likely go to this event each year, so the solution wasn't a bad one, in my view. A full refund would've been better, but I suspect the funds were already spent.

I strongly recommend the Hoedown in Detroit as an alternative.

Okay... let's assume worst case scenario. You've got a Mazda Miata and can only fit two people in the car. So you each pay $30 to get in... to a two day event. Seems pretty cheap to me. Realistically I suspect most people are gonna fit 4 or 5 or 6 people in a vehicle. A decent mini-van will seat 7 or 8. A regular van could fit even more.

If you put 6 people in a vehicle that's only $10 per person, for a two-day event. 10 performers, probably each play what... 5 songs at least? So you're paying $10 for 50 songs... 20 cents per song.

I think what you're missing is that $60 for a parking pass really isn't that h u g e of a cost at all, yet very effectively reduces the number of vehicles trying to cram in or out of the event, strongly encourages car pooling, and ensures that there is sufficient parking onsite so no one has to be turned away or shuttle in or forced to park somewhere else and walk an extreme distance.

Parking is control by 131 motorsports. they are the ones that get 75% of the money, rest goes to B93..Also so everyone knows that 131 and 93.7 made a 10 year contract 3-4 years ago, so this event is not going to be moved any time soon. if 93.7 pulls out early they will pay a big sum of money to 131.

I would have to think there's some language in the contract giving them an out if 131 can't provide decent grounds for the event. If it's true that they have sub-standard drainage and won't/can't improve it there would seem to be reason for B93 to be able to break the contract.
