Sterling Heights is not bad. They have one nasty motel by the credit union, and that’s it. Lucky’s is a great brunch spot.(no affiliation with THAT Lucky). There is Muncheez and Angelo’s on the Avenue is nice. I admit that it was disappointing that Olga’s and Red Hot and Blue closed, but it not run down. The new MJR theatre is beautiful.

I personally know Mike Notte Jr, and he has always been decent to me.
Being home to five Rub and Tugs, multiple motels where hooking and sex trafficking occurs, and being a major illicit drug trafficking hub does not make a city nice.

I've head Lucky's is good and the MJR is actually decent. Sterling Heights is turning into Warren, though.
How does one know all this about “rub and tugs” and “sex trafficking”?
If you can't tell then you need to get out more.

Foutsville is Fabulous

Say what you want about Freaky's home town. It made this list of the 9 most beautiful cities in Michigan.

From the article:
Dragonmead Microbrewery is a must-visit for all kinds of beer and some different fruity wines at surprisingly cheap prices.

Life is not a dress rehearsal. This is it. There's no going back, and we can only go forward before we run out of runway.

Welcome to Warren, the beautiful inner-ring suburb of Detroit, just to the north. From family-owned diners and award-winning breweries to state-of-the-art community centers, the multicultural makeup lends rich traditions and unique cultural offerings. Warren, an affordable city, is easy to embrace along its historic streets and downtown area, with museums like the Henry Ford Museum and boutiques to find that perfect souvenir or decor. Get inspired to recreate your own place at a local gallery while a delicious meal is just next door, with cozy cafes scattered throughout. Dragonmead Microbrewery is a must-visit for all kinds of beer and some different fruity wines at surprisingly cheap prices!

Comerica Park greets you with a cool statue, baseball games, and casinos, while Hollywood Casino is just a dent in Greektown—a destination on its own for heritage, family entertainment, and live music! Whether you seek to get lost in the solitude of a new city or are on a family escape to widen your horizons, Warren's parks are for every taste! Small and unique, Butcher Park is free to relax with your family, while Burdi Park is a favorite dog park. Wiegand Park offers many shaded picnic spots and a baseball field, perfect to bring your kids! From country fairs on the outskirts, you can take in theater performances in the evening at the historic Fox Theatre or let the bustle of modern life sweep you away with its energy and many casinos!

I haven't been through Freak's hood in 20 years. Back in my younger days, used to go up Van Dyke to Romeo at least once a year.

Which nasty motel by which credit union? There are several nasty motels, and several credit unions in the area.

Prediction:
Hizzoner (Fouts) files to run for Stone's vacant State House seat.
My prediction was almost accurate!

Fouts indeed is running for the State House, albeit in a different district than the one I thought:

https://www.freep.com/story/news/politi ... 388061007/

Fouts' home is in the 14th district; Stone served the 13th district.

He will be challenging incumbent Mike McFall in the August Dem primary.

By the way, Lori Stone did Bill Dwyer dirty. He deserved much better treatment than what she gave him. I was rather repulsed by her actions.

Dwyer didn't deserve shit. He was a dirty Detroit cop and presided over the highest amount cop lawsuits in this city, and that's saying something. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

As for Fouts, I expect a McFall in November.
They/them, non-binary and proud.

By the way, Warren is having its first pride ever. It's June 29th at city hall. You're all invited. Leave your weapons at home.
