I'm glad that the bigger fish went to jail, I think this trial was small players and I don't know how much of a role they had in the kidnapping I didn't follow this case so I don't know.

If the prosecutor talked over the heads of the jury they needed to sway then the prosecutor must have been dim.

They are blaming their loss on the people in the area. Not on themselves. This just means that they did not have enough evidence on them that met the required level of doubt. They just wanted to charge these guys just to charge somebody.
