University of Michigan to invest $300M in socially responsible companies

Seems if a college has so much short term working capital on hand that they can invest 300 million, they should instead invest in lowering tuition or provide scholarships.

UofM has the third lowest tuition in the state, and if you get in and can't afford it, they will subsidize your tuition. They have more money in endowment than our state.

Any questions?

I do not find it appropriate for them to invest in specific for-profit companies,

I think investing in local banks is fine as long as the principal is FDIC insured.

Ask not what your country can do FOR you; ask what they are about to do TO YOU!!

What the fuck do you think an endowment is?

Yes I do. What is your source that states UofM's tuition is the third lowest in the state?

Using your own data, UofM ranks;
Lowest (Flint is 40)
4th Lowest (Dearborn is 36)
10th Lowest (Ann Arbor is 30)

I'll let you do the rest of the math but if you're going to be snarky, be sure you're correct.

Michigan has done exceptionally well with the in-state population: https://goblueguarantee.umich.edu/ann-arbor/

Beef Wellington probably didn't go to college and doesn't understand how awesome UofM has been.

It's OK TC. I forgive you. We shouldn't lie though. We should use facts and truth. You've learned a valuable lesson tonight. Now go brush your teeth and I'll tuck you in.
