What is frustrating to me is how few people seem to comprehend that many of the problems we're seeing today in the economy are a direct consequence of the government's over-reaction to Covid (and not just here, but around the world). I said back then that the damage they were causing then would last for decades. This is just the beginning.

The only problem with them "being compensated" is that the funds will -ultimately- come from the taxpayers, NOT the folks who actually caused the harm.

The state has a $6B surplus, and elected officials are not personally responsible ever. I think paying reparations to businesses the state harassed would be a great use of the surplus.
