And I'm still waiting to see the total number of doses sent to each state.

There's no way we're going to beat 33 if we're not getting the same amount of vaccine as other states.

There's no way that Indiana is already 50 to 59 year olds if they're getting the same ratio of vaccines we are.

Exactly how is that metric measured?
It is on covidactnow.org. It appears you have to click on each state to get the detail. Wisconsin has received 1.2M vaccinations and given out 80%. Michigan has given out 77% of 2.1M received. Meanwhile, the vaccine queen, Kristi Noem, has administered 86% of 189,250 that SD has received. The rankings are by percentage of total population of the state vaccinated.
State figures put us at 9th in vaccinations.

Are you talking about raw numbers? That isn't really a great metric.

What's more pathetic: harassing an old man who is paying to do a radio show or supporting a grifter like Trump?

Just throwing out whatever the state used in the Governators press conference.

Oh, I'm sure that is the meaningless raw numbers. It makes sense for them to throw the most favorable number out there even if they are dramatically misrepresenting success.

Right, they are going to promote the best number they can as any administration would. The reality on the ground listening to people talk about the handling of it is much more grim and disappointing.

Yeah, talking to people in other parts of the country, this is going significantly better in other parts of the country.

In the last month things have been going quite well up here.

Keep in mind Biden changed policy 3 weeks ago to shift vaccinations to commercial pharmacies and away from hospitals and health departments.

In our state, they've provided National guard troops to administer shots and it's been going pretty well.

I guess the point is it's very hard to do an apples to apples comparison given the fact that every state has its own way of doing things.

The rollout has been widely reported to be an unmitigated disaster here.

Is that the fault of the county or the state?

All the state has done is deliver the vaccine it's up to the county to get it into your arm.

The data shows that Grand Traverse County is in fact doing well. It is #4, the only non-UP County in the top 10. Washtenaw comes it at #30, the first six figure population on the list (GT is 7k short off 100k). I continue to suggest that if U-M had been able to vaccinate faculty, staff, and students first, our numbers would be even better.

So the issues rest with county health departments.

No, the State of Michigan.

U of M did some screwing around of its own. Vaccinating hospital personnel working at home isn’t exactly a great use of resources.
