This is great news!

This means that the DNC will have much more integrity than the RNC, which just re-elected Trump's hand picked person to serve another year. it's going to be awfully hard to get away from all the Trump crap with people like that still in leadership.

Sure is. She'll probably lock their ass down and put them out of business. Maybe she'll send Nancy to a nursing home.

New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

Don't confuse her with Trump, she has a long track record of success not failure.

You do realize that Pelosi is no longer going to be the speaker, this was her last act of courage before things change.

Who's up to bat next? AOC? Doesn't matter really, it'll only be a two year tenure.

She has two more years, then it will be Kevin McCarthy or Steve Scalise.

That would be a pipe dream.

Schiff. He’s been rumored to be the next Democratic leader in the house once Pelosi is done. AOC gets a lot of attention but she doesn’t have the experience or the track record for leadership yet.

Not really. House control has changed at the presidential midterms for 3 of the last 4 presidents. Its more of a pipe dream to expect Democrats to maintain a majority. Also, Pelosi is the Speaker for the entirety of the current Congress.

Generally the party in the White House always loses seats in the midterm. 2002 is one recent exception that leaps to mind. The Republicans benefited from post 9/11 security hysteria.

I don't consider this a typical season, do you?

It seems that the GOP will be infighting in two years.

Probably so... they may never fully recover actually. 2020 was always predicted as a turning point demographically even 15 years ago.

Gretchen (Whitmer) Mallory has screwed up Michigan; why would the Democrats want her to screw up the democratic party as well?

She doesn't even use her real name. She is married to a Doctor Mallory, so she is legally Mrs. Gretchen Mallory. If she does not sign documents with 'Mallory', then it is not a legally binding document.

Of all the things to bitch about regarding Gretchen Whitmer, her use of her maiden name is a non-factor.
