Racism in Macomb County

Many people in the state have known what a racist place Macomb County is (at least in the leadership). Here's another heartwarming story from the Morgue.

Macomb County Chief Medical Examiner Daniel Spitz could end up losing his longtime contract if investigators conclude that he knew about alleged sexual misconduct and racism going on at the morgue and didn't do anything about it, according to County Executive Mark Hackel.

"He has been interviewed and there’s still more to be done, and it may have an impact on his contract moving forward," Hackel said of Spitz. "Let's face it — this is a H*** embarrassment for that operation over there and most people will think it falls on the medical examiner because he’s the most high profile person."

Hackel is referring to last week's firings of three female morgue employees who are accused of all sorts of misbehavior, including hanging porn in the office, bullying women who complained, mocking African Americans inquiring about loved ones and bringing a black penis cake into the office as a joke.

These allegations were disclosed by a death investigator who has worked at the morgue for five years and said she couldn't take the sexist and racist office culture anymore, so she filed a complaint in July with the EEOC and the county.

It was the penis cake, which showed up at the office the day after George Floyd's death, that prompted her to break her silence, she said.

And I live in Macomb County, the racism is not surprising.

Just don't understand how women can demand to be "treated just like the men", yet cry to mommy whenever something about sex is mentioned.

Do the women need to "man up"??
