https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/202 ... tdown.htmlNo state saw a larger drop in the share of people staying home last week than Michigan, even though its stay-at-home order remained in place. While half of the state’s residents stayed home on average during the preceding six weeks, that number declined by nearly 11 percentage points last week, as approximately one million people there started moving around again.
Acceptable registrations in the queue through April 25 at 5:30p ET have now been activated. Enjoy! -M.W.

Michigan civil disobedience - it's happening under the radar
The stay at home thing is running its course- and Michiganders are leading the way.

The numbers look good, let's see if this new movement jeopardizes a reopen schedule.Howard Jones wrote: ↑Wed May 13, 2020 10:09 amThe stay at home thing is running its course- and Michiganders are leading the way.

Residents? Sure.
Lots of down/out-of-staters (via license plates) were seen OTR north of the 45th last weekend. FIBs lead the pack, it would seem...

Re: Michigan civil disobedience - it's happening under the radar
Been noticing a LOT of Ohio plates up here... more than normal!!
Re: Michigan civil disobedience - it's happening under the radar
Out of state plates are blooming like dandelions.
Went out and chased a little white dimpled ball all over the place today. While driving to and from (20 miles round trip) saw two from Illinois, two from Florida, one from California, one from Ohio and one from Tennessee.

People in Leelanau County have now resorted to slashing tires of out of State vehicles found in Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore. 30+ so far.
Car tires slashed at Treat Farm (April 22)
Tires on three separate vehicles were slashed on Saturday afternoon at the Treat Farm trailhead, south of Empire at the intersection of M-22 and Stormer Road. Leelanau County Dispatch received a call at 3:52 p.m. One of the cars in question was a light blue Honda Element with a Michigan license plate. According to a pedestrian who witnessed the scene, a pickup with an Indiana plate was also damaged.

They may have been Democrats. We're they wearing white hoods like the Democrats used to back in the day?TC Talks wrote: ↑Wed May 13, 2020 7:07 pmPeople in Leelanau County have now resorted to slashing tires of out of State vehicles found in Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore. 30+ so far.

I take that back. Of course they were. No self respecting Republican would drive a Honda Element.
New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

Yes, but the white hooded Democrats are part of what is today's Republican party in the South.
Liberal environmentalists do get emotional. It probably was, Republicans don't really understand National Parks.

Exactly... Bryce denies the existence of the 1960’s realignment.
Re: Michigan civil disobedience - it's happening under the radar
Baloney, the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was passed in spite of the Democrats, not because of them.

Re: Michigan civil disobedience - it's happening under the radar
The realignment started in response to that bill among other things. 1968 was the first election that the trend became noticeable... We are in the midst of another one now... so your definitions are about to be 2 parties ago... realignment is essentially what happens here instead of parties collapsing and new ones forming.
