No fear here.

Ask not what your country can do FOR you; ask what they are about to do TO YOU!!

I've avoided all local & national newscasts since yesterday evening.

Turned on channel 4 at 7PM (WDIV) to watch Wheel. Instead, I got a special newscast that was blathering on & on about coronavirus. :x

I’m not saying that it shouldn’t be front and center, just that there are other important things.
There doesn’t appear to be much of anything going on beside this... this is THE story right now... it’s not like life is going on as normal and it’s being overblown... life has been fundamentally altered for millions...

Altered because of government’s overreach! Where’s the story on that?!
Overreach is your opinion. Stories about altering life are everywhere.

Telling privately-held businesses that they must close and can’t set their own pricing?

Telling people they can’t congregate with more than 50 people?

Yeah, I’d say that’s overreach.
Robbing people blind by charging $80 for a single bottle of hand sanitizer you bought for a dollar 380 somewhere is a hell of a lot worse. In times of crisis somethings temporarily get modified. Let me guess... you’d have been suing the feds if they told you to stop making widgets and start making tank treads in WW2...

Charging anyone any price isn’t “robbing.” Robbing is taking something away from someone. That’s what the government is doing now.
It’s taking advantage of someone else to enrich yourself. That’s wrong.

It’s unavailable elsewhere so they take advantage of the shortage to mark it up 500 times what it goes for... there comes a point when the markup is ridiculous...

100% false.
A guy was selling little hand sanitizer bottles on ebay for $80 a pop that he bought for a dollar... that’s taking advantage of people’s fear to make a profit... it’s unethical and it’s immoral.

100% false.

It’s morally wrong to restrict someone from selling something or purchasing something for whatever they want. Neither one is forced to do it. They do it consensually and voluntarily.
100% false.

The buyer is doing it feeling they have no other choice. There’s nothing consensual or relaxed about it. Financial Rape should be a term you understand.

“Freely” yet “they have no other choice”?

Ever heard of Amazon, Facebook marketplace, neighbors, relatives? You’re making up a scenario that doesn’t exist. 100% false.
The example here got someone banned from eBay.. Amazon has had similar issues recently and done the same.

Someone needs to point the attention of our AG to Little Caesar's Arena. When I go to a Hockey Game, I get charged 13.00 for a glass of draft beer. I can't bring my own, I can't leave to go have one and come back. Their 13.00 glass of draft beer is my only option. I'm being taken advantage of.

The average cost of a 14.5 oz. glass of draft beer is about .80. Isn't charging 13.00 for it "price gouging"?

New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

Couldn't the same be said about 80.00 hand sanitizer?

Yes but it takes advantage of a panicked person not thinking straight. You don’t think straight AFTER the beer... they aren’t thinking straight BEFORE the purchase. There’s no careful examination and thoughtful buying in a panic. Just like someone who’s drunk it often becomes “why did I buy this?” So $80 hand sanitizer guy knows this and is taking advantage of the desperation and fear when they can’t find it anywhere else.
