If only schools were "gun free zones."

That would solve everything.

So, do we get to blame Whitmer now since this won't stop mass shootings?

^^^^THIS. If it doesn't move the needle AT ALL, then it was a h u g e waste of time and resources and a major distraction to what REALLY would work!!!

Ask me again... do they really care about the kids or even trying to solve this problem?
It satisfies the simpletons that always say, “We’ve got to do something!” Or, even better, “There oughtta be a law!” Most bad ideas start that way.

They don’t care if that “something” is effective or even related to the issue. As long as it erodes individuals’ freedoms, grows government, and costs more, they’re all for it.

As I've said repeatedly, criminals and felons don't do background checks....
Straughter was trying to resolve the situation when Travis Deshawn Irving, 33, of Detroit, pulled out a handgun and shot him in the chest, according to authorities.

Medics rushed to the scene and took Straughter to a nearby hospital, but he died from his injuries.

Irving fled the liquor store after the shooting.

Prosecutors charged Irving with first-degree murder, felon in possession of a firearm, and two felony firearm violations.
But they will follow gun laws. Just ask democrats.
