Once they found out that 0.6% of the voting population believes they are the opposite sex than they were born with, Dems swooped in, pandered to them, and threw logic, science, reality, and basic decency under the bus. All for those few votes.
Rather than getting these people the mental help and counseling they need, they justify feelings over facts and rake in the votes.
When unemployment happens, rather than actually helping the unemployed find work, they propose limitless unemployment benefits to not work, all for votes.
