No surprise.
WEYI don't like criticism on FaceBook either. Know many people being blocked or banned from their FB page, for having a different or opposing point of view(s).

Spying on its employees
Re: Spying on its employees
That was/is the intent. BUT......it is hypocritical that WEYI hides behind the Freedom of Speech, then climbs up the pedestal to their pulpit, and preach their crap garbage. Yet, when the viewing audience does the same exact thing, the WEYI Nazi's come out, to destroy, ban, and/or block any voices that contrasts to their agenda, or ideology.Freedom of Speech is to protect the citizens from the government.
And TV5 is not any better.
Then these people wonder why the audience knows Fake News exists and people laugh at their stories, to the point of stop watching their garbage.
Re: Spying on its employees
AMEN. I am old enough to remember when the MSM took pride in true, factual, and honest journalism. Sadly, journalism is DEAD.There are some very good people at WEYI, both in front and behind the camera, in the news department and in other departments. They work hard to put on a good newscast despite the politics of this place.
There was a time not too long ago when people believed that they could change through smart journalism. But the persons who were driving that charge either left or were pushed out by managers who don’t care about anything but the bottom line and their bonuses
Re: Spying on its employees
Agreed. I realize that most of the decisions come from Corporate or the National Network.there are still good journalists out there. They just need to be given a platform to do meaningful work.
If local TV managers don’t change their ways, they will continue to lose good people who will leave to showcase their work on other platforms.
