I was streaming 107.1 this evening in car and the wife was digging that station, she never heard it before I think she found a favorite station now. Could it work in Detroit? yes if done similar to Ann Arbor's 107.1

107.1 bores me to tears. It’s mostly light crap. The new artists they play are too mellow and lame.

A format like this wouldn’t even draw a 1 share in the Metro.
There's a simple solution if you don't like the station change it, but some of us like it and that format would do better than a 1 share.

WDET is a waste of a great frequency and should be sold to a commercial broadcaster, the potential to make big money not just on the sale of that station but also the fact of a great signal. What a waste in its current state.

Anything would be better than the crap that is broadcast over that station now.

You, sir, are just a grumpy-ass old man.
I will not go near your lawn.

As time goes on and more people are tuned in to internet radio via smartphones and regular radio real estate starts to take a dive, Wayne State will lose money and eventually could dump the station so never say never, if the price is right it would be sold UAW agreement or not money is the bottom line.

It surprises me that a Triple A Format Like WXRT or even Ann Arbor’s 107 One gets so much negative post on here considering there are some many liberals on this site one would think this format would win hands down.
