Fake Wheels still sucks

Tuned in today for the first time in a while and heard a promo about Fake Wheels being the place to hear Bob Seger, followed by Turn the Page. I quickly changed the station. For the hell of it, tuned to WCSX and heard Bob Seger. I nearly vomited in my car.

Is that their game to pull that 2 share- more Bob Seger?

Their RDS has been off for a couple of days, although their HD is still on. A routine outage, or a harbinger of a change? Perhaps the speculated-about flip to Country (for a third time and unlikely to do any better than 93.1 did with it)?
Either way, the station will remain off my radar.

Bob Fucking Seger. Ugh.
They refuse to play what they should be playing in any meaningful amount. When they consider one of Van Halens most popular songs, Poundcake, a "deep cut" you know all hope is lost.
Play some more Doors and maybe "Rock you like a Hurricane" for the 3rd time today.
Fuck you WLLZ and every decision maker there.

Shit Mega, I think you put it best: you could play a recording of his last colonoscopy and people would go apeshit for it. It might even make CSX or Wheels’ most played list.

106.7's audio processing settings sound different than usual. Rhythm section detail is shrouded by bass.

WLLZ currently playing "Fortunate Son" by CCR.

WLLZ should be going after both WRIF and WCSX. Yes, that means playing current product. This version of WLLZ reminds me of 1992-93 when Wheels was basically on life support.

I remember that. I seem to recall they were damn near a classic rock station by then. They couldn't get the AOR stink off of them. Newer stuff took forever to add.

Nobody wants to play anything current-

A. Because it sucks and

B. Then you have to go against WRIF. Nobody dares do that in Detroit "Rock" City.

Yup, he sure is, Windsor.

I honestly don't dislike the playlist as much as some of you. It's not horrible, and it's not good, either.

The music selection reminds me a lot of 95.7 WQMF in Louisville.

There are worse stations out there. I'd put Rock 95.5 in Chicago in that camp.

Imo....a so called classic rock playlist with CCR and Evavesence in it doesnt sound good.And it seems alot of listeners think the same with dropping ratings.

To me theirs only 2 classic rock formats....the traditional that CSX does so well and the guitar rock....classic rock that really rocks format.

Then u have the next gen classic rock 90s/2000s that SXM Turbo does so well. Iheart will have ti decide which direction they go if things fall farther.

Whats that old saying? If youre trying to make everyone happy then no one will be happy or something like that.

Play kick ass rock and roll tunes from the 80's and 90's with a few early 2000's thrown in. Thats it.
Leave Bob fucking Seger, CCR, The Doors, Queen etc on the shelf. The people that want that will listen and the people who dont wont. Its pretty fucking simple.

Punched up Wheelzs on the drive home and they were playing Last Chance by Shooting Star.....WOW !!!

Must have been the Docs deep cut.

Got lots of spins on 98.7 back in the day. Now we need 707 I could be good for you for tommorow deep cut and bring back old logo iheart.
