Not really. Closing of radio station sales often takes two or three months due to need to obtain FCC approval. If anything, the approval process has moved more quickly in recent years versus what I recall from many years ago.

MW — I agree with your idea that Cumulus should’ve gone classic hits on 93.1. Doug-FM was getting extremely stale by the last year or so of the format, so a tweak to that would’ve been nice, and it could’ve given WOMC some much needed in-format competition.

I understand their reasoning for wanting country on 93.1, but except for the time when Robby Bridges was programming it, the station has just sounded pitiful to me. Not like the new owners/programming will be any better.
