Is the station 93.9 FM The River in Windsor still playing the pop & alternative rock since the 2010's?? I have not been to their website in ages. I know that it is all about the music!! Haven't heard the station since 2015 though. Did they make any changes??

There wasn't a press release on TMZ? They've been Virgin Radio since November 2020.

CHR/Pop music geared to teenage girls and their moms.

The audio issues were finally fixed a few weeks back. The station does have a local morning show, so I'll give them some credit for that.

The first time I ever heard The River was back in I'd say late fall of 1994-early 1995. My parents were having a new house built and we'd go over there a couple times a week at least, while the inside was being finished. A few times we stopped by, the guys working had 93.9 The River on! I had never heard it before, I always knew 93.9 as CKLW with Oldies. So, I became a fan until around 1999 or so, when they started adding classic rock to the playlist. Then in summer of 2000, they became AC.

I liked 93.9fm Todays best music, I recall I had it on my alarm clock. As I was working day shift then, Fri-Mon 4-10's. Had to be up at 4:30am, to get ready and be at work at 6am. It was a good station to get the day going. This was back around 2005-2006.

The 2nd incarnation of The River I never really got into.

Funny - I liked the second incarnation of the river, and found myself wanting to hear it this morning actually LOL.

Ann Arbor's 107.1 is a pretty suitable replacement. Was listening to them yesterday in Brownstown when I heard the new Depeche Mode song come on.
