Town to town up and down the dial. Him and his wife are nice people that will be missed.

I will miss watching him and Priya Mann on the weekends. I wish him nothing but the best.

He was never my favorite, but far better than Priya. Why they have her anchoring is beyond me.
Also Will Jones does not make a good anchor either. It seems like viewers on social media are growing tired of the revolving door at 4 and may start looking elsewhere. I’m curious to see if there’s any dent in future ratings.

Never much cared for the guy. I wish him well but won't miss him.

Good on-air talent. I'm surprised that he is leaving for a reporting gig at an independent station in Boston. How are WHDH's ratings since losing NBC programming?

If he were offered an anchoring gig, the move would make more sense to me.

Weekend morning anchor is the lowest anchor spot on a station. Not that big a gig. Reporter in a top 10 is bigger. WHDH is a powerhouse. He may want city and station over anchoring.

Their newscasts have a tabloidy aura based on past segments I've previously watched online. I know 5 and 7 are the two traditional news powerhouses in that market, but I was unsure if that was still the case since NBC bolted 7.

Excellent move. Talented guy. Time to leave before 4 hires more meteorologists and fire a few more people.

With his social views he'll fit in nicely in Mass.

Grant seemed like a far left liberal. Local news needs to be more centered.

What the fuck does that even mean? As opposed to a “right wing nut”? I cant tell the leanings of any local news folks if I tried. They are reading standard copy written by 22 year old producers and going home. What makes him seem liberal? These “bias” arguments are so stupid and an insult to the hardworking local reporters and anchors.

Really? I can't speak to Mr Hermes specifically because I don't watch him all that much, but it's pretty obvious on most. If they DID focus more on being "hardworking local reports and anchors" most of us actually wouldn't notice.
