WXYZ preempts part of MLB playoff game

According to someone on the 506 Sports Discord, WXYZ did not air the 3 PM hour of ABC's MLB playoff game between the Philadelphia Phillies and Saint Louis Cardinals, preempting it for a couple of infomercials. I am shocked WXYZ decided to do this, but if this was for make-goods reasons I wouldn't be surprised.

Personally I have no interest in the baseball playoffs. They go on too long, until a week after Halloween. Way too many games. WXYZ might sense that other people feel the same way too.

I feel the same way about the NHL and NBA postseasons. But in all three sports, I enjoy the day-to-day activity of the regular season.

Did anyone on the 506 corroborate that claim? 7 had multiple posts on their Facebook page letting viewers know they could stream the 4pm newscast due to the game telecast. It's there in the listings at 2pm and hard to believe they would stop the telecast in the middle for infomercials.

I used to like the 506 but after about a day of the Discord disaster I moved on.

one guy made one post on a discourse board somewhere, and it wasn't confirmed, and you come here and act like it happened.
Did you call channel 7 to confirm? Have any other type of confirmation?
