The GFS shows...about 2 weeks out they're showing a literally identical storm as to what just went through.
This one is still in the forecast. Except the most recent runs have pushed it further north, putting us mostly in the rain category. Looking at potentially 2-3 inches of rain. Not sure where all that water is going to go. Of course if this were snow instead, we'd be looking at significant snowfall.

Sunny all week here in Traverse City.
You might be getting a foot this time around.

Bring it on! That rain/sleet we got yesterday really screwed up the XC Trails and Downhill Skiing...

If we get 3 inches of rain and ZERO snow from any of this storm, I will come cook a nice steak dinner for all of you. I'm so over this shit I could puke.

3 inches of rain and 40 degrees. Mmmmmmmmmm. I can see my driveway again! I have to make a trip to Shelby Twp for work tomorrow so I hope AM drive isn't too bad.

Wed/Thur.
They've moved the snow bands a bit further south.

I'm seeing rain and 51 on Wednesday. How much of this white garbage is expected to inconvenience everyone this time?

7-12 inches depending on location in the southern half of the lower peninsula.

I think most of the models are too aggressive on totals, as usual. This is a complex system; most of SE Michigan's snow would come from a projected second disturbance (which would ride along the frontal boundary draped across Ohio mid to late Thursday into Thursday night).
Right now, I'm predicting a general 2 to 6 inch accumulation. It is too early to project where the heaviest banding will occur. Similar to the system of a couple weeks ago, it is possible one or two convective flare-ups could occur, leading to locally heavier totals than surrounding areas.
Do not be surprised if some area hear a clap or two of thunder Wednesday night.
Next seven days feature roller coaster temperatures. That fact, plus heavy precip later this week, will create a big mess for public works crews. There will be potholes and water main breaks galore.
Morgan Wallen is a piece of garbage.

That's why I've never minded long stretches of sub-freezing temperatures. It's annoying when weathercasters act like the temperature going above freezing for a day or two is a great thing. Last Friday's thaw led to a lot of new potholes in my area.

Another HYPED up snowstorm, can't wait. I wonder how many school superintendents already are planning on Friday off in the queue due to this news?? The snow on Super Bowl Sunday was quite a surprise and quite a bit in my neck of the woods. No hype behind that one. Well I better hit the grocery store looks like I'll be stuck in the house for days. Thank you news media!

In my travels for work, I've noticed Beck Road south of 7 mile is getting bad, Washtenaw Ave around Carpenter and Mound Road aren't looking so great, either. Mound is torn up every year, anyway.

Makes sense. The amount of heavy truck traffic Mound road gets is off the charts.
New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

I can remember when they expanded Mound to 3 lanes and it seemed like the freeway. Now 4 lanes isn't enough.
