I wonder how close the product on 62 is going to be to what's been on CW50 this week?? If it's close to that, then there is NO REASON to be excited at all.

Seems like they are trying to compete with newsnet or newmax rather than a true regional or local broadcast.

The 10 O'Clock News on WKBD around 1990 and into the early 90's was an excellent newscast. Even the opening music was sensational.

By 1997 or 1998, wheels started to slowly fall off.

By 2000, it was a downright poor product.
Maintaining the overhead for an independent news organization would require more revenue than 1 hour of programing could provide as across the board ratings have declined.

I don't think Detroiters are going to like having the Philadelphia skyline in their newsset's backdrop.

You didnt really post this, did you?

He meant a similar set design, not that exact set. Thats the new set at KYW, likely the new template for the O and O's.

From the article
This central set piece includes a curved side that blends well with both the current graphics package used across the CBS-owned stations and elements from the “deconstructed eye” framework that’s expected to be more widely rolled out across the group’s stations in the fall of 2022.

Of course I know the Philadelphia skyline won't be on our news set's backdrop. I was merely joking because he had said that would be the set.

Word has it that Fox 2 is suing CBS for poaching a producer with a non-compete clause in the contract. Would love for a judge to rule on that.

The new set will be similar to other CBS O&Os, but it’s going to have its own Detroit spin on this. It’s state of the arc.

We might have a lot more announcements coming in the next few weeks on new anchor hires. I feel the hiring process is going very very fast.

Furthermore, I wouldn’t underestimate the impact all of this will have. CBS62 getting a full news department in the manner that it is will change the ball game. CBS is not playing around with this. There’s a reason why other stations imo, are getting nervous. But that’s just my opinion, that’s all

You blab like Trump. All of your posts basically say “this is going to be H***! Other stations are nervous. More hiring announcements coming soon! They’re about to change the game.”

If you actually do know something, care to provide some actual substance?
