Bally sports is not bringing Morris back for 2023.

Craig Monroe and Dan Perry are getting bigger roles.

Should have been Shep, who is terrible doing baseball play by play. Too bad the morons at Fox Sports / Bally Sports Detroit signed him to a 10 year contract after canning Rod and Mario. Shep needs to be on the pre and post game show and Mario needs to come back. Rod’s already back on BSN Miami.

I think Matt's play by play work is fine.

Gibby's voice is a cure for insomnia.

Craig Monroe sounds too much like an obnoxious, over enthusiastic fan boy.

Dan Petry is good. He should be the primary color commentator.
Morgan Wallen is a piece of garbage.

I don't see why he'd want to come back.

He was publicly humiliated by his employer after making a sincere, public apology almost immediately after the incident.

That suspension was supported by a baseball team that has benefited greatly from his efforts both on and off the field. Why would he want to spend one more second promoting that organization?

Maybe worst of all, he was publicly criticized by A.J. Hinch, who was implicated in one of the worst scandals in baseball history.

At the age of 66, I would just move on. The Tigers need him a lot more than he needs them.
Golden words...well said.

His every future word and action will be scrutinized; he will have to become so plain vanilla that it would be pointless to bother to do the job. Traveling around like that sucks.

Hopefully, with his past income, he's invested well. At 66, if you are pretty average, if you are REAL lucky you've got about 10 years to run around and do things you like to do, and another 4-10 staying at home and going to doctor appointments.

I would advise them I'm leaving for an indefinite period of time, spend his money and enjoy his family.
The box that many broadcasters won’t look outside of was made in 1969 and hasn’t changed significantly since.

A couple of months ago I received a survey from the Tigers, and questions about the broadcasters (both radio and TV) were rather prominent. Not that my opinion carried much weight, as I am a Jack Morris fan.

(Not broadcasting-related, but two other topics which seemed rather prominent in the survey were questions regarding parking in and around Comerica Park area, and interestingly, lots of questions about the possibility of an alternate jersey. And what style it could be. (Music-themed, orange as primary color, etc.))

Jack made a lot of mistakes on the broadcast, it was like he wasn't really watching the game. Many times he would call for a double play when there were 2 outs and stuff like that.I wonder if he will go back to the Twins or maybe that bridge has been crossed.
He was a great pitcher bur sometimes he was his worst enemy.

I agree with all but Craig Monroe. I don’t think he should be the primary commentator, but I like his enthusiasm in an otherwise low energy crew. Jack Morris had great insight in to the tools of pitchers, but his register and tone was always a touch above Gibby.
They/them, non-binary and proud.

The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.
