I didn't do too well with the pre-Christmas storm; that's true. Some folks (*cough* WDIV *cough*) did much worse, though.

Why do you think I didn’t discuss them? I don’t look at them as real news any longer. :)

Since CBS is attempting to be a news station again, we may as well include them in the forecast. Kylee and Ahmed both had 5 to 8 on a map last night and this morning for the warning areas, but not including the new warnings today. Those were labeled 3 to 6 including the rest of the counties on their map. The video is still up https://www.cbsnews.com/detroit/weather/

There is some very heavy snow in the Toledo area right now, and it is pivoting northward. I am becoming nervous regarding my earlier forecast!

A fresh 2 to even 4 inches between now and 4PM looks probable for many areas near and south of a Dexter to Birmingham to Algonac line.

Northern Indiana is getting slammed hard. Lightning just showed up near Fort Wayne.

I was hoping it would get much colder last night, and most of this snow would have been "drier". That might have resulted in a few more inches everywhere, but much easier to shovel or snowblow!

I think Environment Canada actually got Sarnia's weather forecast right this time. Imagine that!

I think the NWS forecast is going to prove highly accurate for Metro Detroit. Southeastern half of the area should indeed see totals of 6+. I suspect some areas will see close to 8. Macomb County in particular appears to be hard hit.

The precip intensified and expanded rapidly this morning. The amount of convective snow banding took me by surprise for sure.

Lame because you hate the snow or because you wanted even more in your neck of the woods?

A good five inches has fallen here (14 Mile and Woodward area), with probably at least another inch left to come.

I'll give another update early evening after I snowblow.

Lame because I hate it. I got stuck on a dirt road between Scio and Saline. Did 40 all the way from Brighton to Scio Twp. 23 was atrocious. Don't have these problems in July!

Looks like WXYZ is the winner. Just measured and we got 6.5” here in Warren. Very moisture laden snow that is weighing down foliage. We got hit hard.

Ann Arbor has almost 8 inches of snow. Did anyone other than CBS have up to 8 on their forecast?

About 6 inches in my yard, less on the concrete closest to the house.

Ann Arbor received 7.8.

Rochester had 6.5 at last report, and it was still snowing hard there.

The NWS forecast and channel 62 were best this time, but 4 and 7 both did pretty well, too.

NWS was calling for widespread 6 to 8 inch totals in all I-94 corridor counties plus much of Oakland.

I only consider the tri county area in the totals, but that’s fair.
