Remember the weatherperson at channel 2 who had the eye surgery that went bad, and committed suicide? I wonder if she was pressured by the station to get that surgery. Or what if one of her coworkers encouraged her to do it. They must feel guilty if that happened.

I think it's speculation that the two were related. Yes, they did happen at the same time but she might have had other demons to deal with too. I have not heard (and doubt I would) if other things were going on in her life. Sorry to see her go though, as I did enjoy her being on TV.

Yes. Her eye pain and vision loss were probably the last straw. Rather than the only reason. God bless her soul and her grieving family. Beautiful person inside and out.

Love one another. Help one another. Could be someone you work with or know who is quietly struggling like she was. Maybe even you.

Reach out.

I disagree strongly.

If you live your entire life with pain-free eyes like most of us, and then one day have to live the rest of your life with her type of chronic eye pain and discomfort, I could easily see that being the sole contributor to her suicide.

I think we tell ourselves that there must have been underlying issues in order to make us feel better about what happened.

Of course if she only would have called the 800-number suicide would never occur. :barf

The straight jacket would come out and then she’d be hauled away.
