Windier than predictions?
Windier than predictions?
Just like the last few days, Local 4 predicted wind gusts much lower than what’s out there. I see even NOAA is underestimating. For today, I’m seeing predictions of 20-30mph gusts. Oakland County just reported a 46 mph gust. To the weather experts on this site, am I the only one noticing this? I’m surprised that there weren’t wind advisories issues yesterday and today.

I agree with the OP.
Winds during midday in particular were far gustier than any of the predictions I saw on TV that morning. Easily had a few gusts to 40 mph in my neighborhood.

Morgan Wallen is a piece of garbage.

This looked like that standard weather pattern with rising temps, then rising winds, then a big thunderstorm. My very amateur guess is that the winds were higher than expected because they didn't eventually turn into a thunderstorm.
