Twitter account @VirginRadioWin has been registered, matching the naming format of other Virgin Radio twitters: https://twitter.com/virginradiowin

Same with Instagram @virginradiowindsor: https://www.instagram.com/virginradiowindsor/
Figured they'd have those registered beforehand...looks like they just did it.

Also I don't think there will be a "final song" for either station; it's probably going to be whatever the last song in the log for the hour is, then they'll launch their respective new formats.

Mark -- they were taken down sometime yesterday.

Listening to 89X/The River/ and just for S&G..580am right now via IHeartRadio, [3 seperate tabs in case asking] I noticed something interesting, only 89X and 93.9 THE RIVER are announcing "somethinng new Is Coming"

I am in agreement with the crowd, Virgin Radio Windsor replaces 89X
as for 93.9 do they take over as NEW ROCK 93.9 ???
as for 580am [again just for S&G]...TSN Sports Windsor COULD be the format

Is there some reason I can't hear Virgin Radio thru the website? I hear the pre roll but no audio?

Sounds like they're clearing out commercial inventory. I've heard a LOT of spots this last half hour or so.

I am listening to 89X right now on the same Magnavox portable AM/FM stereo I used to listen to Cutting Edge nights on 30 years agoin my room at my parent's house. I think that is kinda cool!
I had to spin the tuner extra hard to get all the way down to 88.7, it was stuck around 90 and just free spinning. After a minute I got it to work. Tons of static anytime I adjust the volume but other than that she works fine.

Mega -- 93.9 ran a H*** ass commercial break as well.

Guessing Coldplay's "Clocks" is the final song on 93.9.

EDIT: Final song is Keane's "Somewhere Only We Know"

Looks like MW’s prediction is good so far. Virgin Radio (CHR) on 93.9. Will it also be classic hits on 88.7?

Shit just got real.

Same song that 89X launched with; a fitting send off!

THEY DID IT! 89X did a final song!!!

It is: “Stop” by Jane’s Addiction, their first song ever.

I LOVE that choice. Always cool to make the first and last the same.

They ended with the same tune where it all started : Jane's Addiction Stop

I’m honestly just impressed that they managed to actually program a final song instead of just abruptly turning off the automation at noon.
