It does personalize it for people. From her point of view she can get some extra face time on air and online.

And she had to explain how it happened to make herself more innocent and emphasize Whitmer's position that it is easily spread, even outdoors, unless you are at Democratic protests and rallies.

Most of the protestors wore masks. That cuts down on transmission.

They do no such thing at Trump rallies. This does not reduce transmission. It’s not a conspiracy. It’s common sense.
