Shocker - Jerry Tarrants exits Beasley
Did he choose to leave a sinking (financial) ship, or was the task of handling day to day programming chores of three separate stations with an ever shrinking budget too much to bear?
J.T. brought Dave Dahmer to CSX. Just sayin'.
WCSX experienced all time record high ratings during his tenure.
No PD at CSX seems to last more than 5 or 6 years.

As soon as Dahmer is off their airwaves, 94.7 will earn a preset in my car.

I removed WCSX when they fired Steve Kostan. Have not listened since. Dahmer is unacceptable on any level.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 2:56 pmAs soon as Dahmer is off their airwaves, 94.7 will earn a preset in my car.

As long as JT (or as he was called on the old Z93 Joe and the Poorboy show “Dick next door”) doesn’t come back to Cumulus Saginaw, I’m good....

...and here is the Beasley Job Posting for JT's former position. Wonder if they want his replacement to clean the toilets and mop the floors too? https://bbgi.com/careers/operations-manager/

I would guess it wasn't a mutual parting.

Who cares? Good riddance. Bringing low budget, unfunny carpet baggers to town is nothing to brag about. Ratings or no ratings.

Side note...who the hell was on midday today? I thought I was getting a skip of some Boise, Idaho station. What, anyone can fill in there now?
After I caught a couple of the young woman's breaks, my heart actually sank. The stable of jocks that station used to have...Karen Savelly, Calvert, Kostan, Buck...who is even manning the ship over there? Do they all still have 3 separate hallways or is everything done in one room now? That joint used to be bustling. They don't even talk about the music or anything anymore. I just don't get how they're number 1. I guess the saying was right; when you lower your standards, you broaden your base.

My guess is the PPM showed every time they opened the mic the ratings dropped. At some some point they realized the PD wasn't helping them.Colonel Flagg wrote: ↑Mon Jul 13, 2020 10:41 pmWho cares? MHz: The music is probably the driver of the ratings. The some of the jocks might be pulling it down. Radio geeks turn up the radio when DJ speaks, the rest of the listeners turn it down.

Well, unless it's short, concise or compelling. Not much of that going on these days.audiophile wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 6:18 amRadio geeks turn up the radio when DJ speaks, the rest of the listeners turn it down.
New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.
