WUDT 23

Post by Gerald1981! » Sun Jun 28, 2020 5:22 pm

While the station is having some technical problems right now, is the station pretty close to moving back to VHF 8 after the repack?

Are they still working on the transmitter during this coronavirus pandemic?

I can never get this OTA.

They/them, non-binary and proud.

I don’t think they’ve moved. No sniff of WNWO, now also on physical 23.

WNWO is fully licensed now on a new transmitter at 275kW. It’s a directional, much like WUPW. I would assume they are still working on the equipment since I haven’t seen the signal boost yet.

WUDT has a good signal in western Wayne Co. I have an outside antenna.

It's like WUDT doesn't plan to move to 8 unless they are forced off 23.

WUDT was on RF 8 before, so why are they moving back there to RF 8?

Likely because WUDT on 23 will cause co-channel interference to WNWO in some areas south of Detroit.

Do batwing antennas sneeze?

I'm guessing that the Channel 8 antenna and waveguide were left in place when they upgraded to 23. Now I guess they will merely undo the channel shift.

The FCC has granted WNWO full license to fire up their 275kW transmitter on RF23.

Move it or lose it, WUDT.

It’s religious crap, anyway.

WNWO switched over to their new 275kW transmitter in late September.

I am suspecting co-channel interference between WUDT and WNWO.

I used the Indian summer record nice weather to get on my roof and finally mount my outdoor antenna nice and high and straight. Did a rescan and found out that there is now 23.2, and no signal on 8 at all, I think they plan to stay until they are forced off 23.
