Where did get yours Vic?

Did you get it by playing records at WSAM?
I don't have one, asshole.
You don’t have an a-hole? That’s a problem.
So you really are grammar challenged? Fascinating...

Checked out channel four news at noon today just for the heck of it. Yeah, its bad news central. Play up the bad news and barely mention the very real positives that are happening.

Even I snickered at that pun.

I’m not sure I get the pun... the comma is in a spot where it makes the whole thing fall apart... but honestly I’m just not seeing it...

Take a step back, yes it's stupid and juvenile, but totally worth a smirk.

The governor just said we can get out and exercise: walking, biking, canoeing, etc. just stay 6' feet apart.

What's wrong with golfing again?
People will be touching other people's balls!

Governor Whitmer said just that, on WWJ.

Gave me a much-needed chuckle moment 😃

I will do whatever I want, consensually, with anyone I want.
Sure, generally. But not with the Whitmer police ready to shine their flashlights in your window and fine your for not practicing social distancing! Oh, the humanity! More seriously, and to get us kind of back on track (sort of),does anyone have an opinion about what human interaction will be like once this is all "over?" Will it be like going to the airport post-9/11, which is nothing short of a giant pain in the ass? Will restaurants be intimidated into only allowing half the amount of people as they previously did into their establishments to provide more space between customers? How fast will said restaurants close? Will we reach the low of a depression, from trying to save us from ourselves? There are way more questions than answers about our future "way of life," and the turmoil it may cause from those protesting losing their civil rights.

BTW, 101 --- my browser auto corrected your "consensually" to be "nonsensically." I guess as long as it's fun.

Shame on you Local 4

I'm not sure how many caught the 11pm last night. They talked about how landscapers are being allowed to mow in a city in Western Wayne. Devin Scillian called it "a controversy". Of course no one but WDIV cares. Cities are now allowing lawn care services to do their work. They don't want jungle lawns in their community.

WDIV is really being quite the "muck stirring" station since this all stared.
Sitting outside craft stores trying to make a big deal out of stores having curbside sales.
Nobody but WDIV cares.
Choppers flying over golf course trying to show golfers closer than 6' apart.
Nobody but WDIV cares.
Now all worried about guys working by themselves on a mower trying to make a living.
Nobody but WDIV cares.

4 Northern Michigan Sheriffs have announced that they will not enforce the governor's orders.

You'd think they have something more important to investigate....

...like how many PPE are coming into the state each day? Is the state managing this flow? Where are they going?? Who is wasting them and who is using them efficiently??

...what is the Governor/government doing to insure that the residents of the state have access to masks and cleaning supplies instead of hording them for just first responsers, medical staff and commercial industrial uses?? (I totally understand prioritizing them to FR and Medical staff, but at some point EVERYBODY needs some!!)

...what is the Governor/government doing to insure that the food supply is stable and can get from farm to table???

...if we're still at the peak, even if just leveling off now, how come hospitals are downsizing their overflow capacity Suburban Collection and UofM) and some emergency facilities even closing (Beaumont Wayne)???? How many beds are actually in use vs the overall capacity???

WDIV and their "investigations" is a joke.

Anyone expecting deep investigation by WDIV is looking in the wrong place. They're a mass-appeal tv station that sells basic level news that draws viewers. The subjects mentioned are worthy topics, but the average viewer will tune out.

Whether what they do is proper is really beside the point. They do what they do, whether it's about the COVID-19 pandemic or anything else. They can claim they're doing investigations, but it's all aimed at getting the viewers to stick around and see a few commercials and earn the station some ratings.

News on WDIV (and most other local stations around the country) is similar to how the band Roxette named one of their greatest hits albums: "Don't Bore Us-Get To The Chorus".

I don't deny the problems with their COVID-19 reporting, but a Channel 4 PSA is worth mentioning. I haven't been watching Channel 4, but the PSA has appeared on one of their digital subchannels, MeTV.

It shows all of the black on-air personalities at Channel 4 asking "our community" to observe safe practices during this pandemic. It's obviously aimed at Detroiters and the black population. It implies a level of personal responsibility that is completely lacking in the task force created by Whitner that assumes racism as the main cause for the high number of black deaths from COVID-19.
