Re: Ron Cameron
I got a good belly laugh from Kurt's bizarrely original comment:
"I'm sorry that Mr. Positive was All Shook Up because I don't have any Burning Love for the Elvis movie."
Then there was Cowboy's birthday request of a Rhinestone Cowboy outfit.
As the Grateful Dead used to sing, "Lately, it occurs to me, What a long, strange trip it's been."
Re: Ron Cameron
That Ron didn’t bother to initially mention Tracewski as a future guest - let alone next week's - until the last hour tells me that Ron is just throwing out names, hoping one will land. So you might want to hold your questions for Trixie for now. However, Jim Leyland will definitely be on in 2-3 weeks, timed for his new restaurant announcement.
Re: Ron Cameron
The previous week, Dave wanted to ask Denny McLain why players don't play "for the love of the game" anymore. I'm surprised he didn't call during the second hour. Or maybe he's locked in to calling during the third hour.

Yea he has routine now as the third hour caller. His favorite topic seems to be “combero” and how he needs to move on from the Tigers to Ron’s delight.

Longest two to three weeks of all time. I think Ray Scott will be back on before leyland or another long time promised guest, Mark Wilson

I like the way he says, "Yep...yep...yep."radiofan1974 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 04, 2022 1:48 pmYea he has routine now as the third hour caller. His favorite topic seems to be “combero” and how he needs to move on from the Tigers to Ron’s delight.
My favorite Dave quotation came when he was asking Ron about the piano bar at the Fenton Hotel. Dave said, "I've got to do something with this life." Felt a little sorry for him.

Re: Ron Cameron
Exactly. RC just throwing out names hoping one will stick. These so called next guests have no idea they are next up. I did hear Ron comment out loud to Denny about someone he had as a guest (Northrup?) than a little while later kicked the bucket. Ron aka Grim Reaper seems to have a strange attraction to these occurrences and takes a strange boasting to these happenings. Maybe he should put a disclaimer with all future guests, "after appearing on the Ron Cameron show some guests have been known to drop dead up to 4 weeks after appearing" - so Grim Reaper Cameron holds no liability in said guest death.Momo wrote: ↑Mon Jul 04, 2022 10:27 amThat Ron didn’t bother to initially mention Tracewski as a future guest - let alone next week's - until the last hour tells me that Ron is just throwing out names, hoping one will land.
