Yes, Ray Scott will be on next week! I'd like Ron & Ray to broach the subject of where they were when the president was assassinated.

Why don't they have the station voice guy or whoever open the hour? And Ron isn't saying his name.

Regular WDTK listeners tune in and unless they recognize his voice, are likely asking who this crazy old man is.

Ron's Gumby, dammit, he doesn't have to identify himself.

Ron's not only an English professor, but the Surgeon General, as well.

Jake Wood wouldn't bail on Ron, too, would he?!

Ron is not happy with his producer today.

So an "open lines" hour, after a guest bails, is an occasional call, repeating the number and E-mail a dozen times, an occasional "sponsor" read and behind the scenes with his producer.

Got it.

Ah, next week's guest calls to save Ron because he's "hanging". This is a comedy show, isn't it?

I loved the trolling emailer near the end of the last hour who asked Jake Wood if he always wanted to be a baseball player! It must have so discombobulated Ron that he forgot to ask Jake about his greatest thrill as a professional athlete.

I stand corrected. The audible podcasts are kept past the previous week. Here's a link to their "archives:" https://www.audible.com/pd/Sports-Talk- ... FVPTRA3ZQ0

Thanks. Unfortunately, the sound volume is very low on both the WDTK podcast and audible. The sound is fine for the intro information about Darryl Wood, but when Sports Talk comes on, I can barely hear it.

Is this happening with anybody else?

A type of slapstick comedy, like those old Buster Keaton movies, where Our Hero fights his way through one minor disaster after another.

After listening to this weeks podcast, Ron did get stiffed by Denny. He strangely gave up very quick, little badmouthing of Denny.

Denny seems to leach onto Ron when he needs him. It’s too bad he stiffed Ron.
