I’m still hoping Kurt is OK.
At long last, Kurt (the Hurt) has been heard from again (at 9:02)!

Coming to the Taylor Town Trade center for autographs: John Grubb and Jake Wood! Did Ron ever interview John Grubb?

Heard Mr. Positive on Riger’s show today. Still sounding good.

I’m still hoping Kurt is OK.
Apparently, Mr Positive was fired earlier in the week.

I trust Ron's "estate" will demand a cut from the two.

Listened to the John grubb interview, thanks momo for the link.

Took me back, I have not listened to any old interviews since Ron had passed. This one seemed to have it all-A mention of the basin league and a “fella” shout out, the ad reads, and the role Ron played in many careers.

We can thank Bobbert for preserving that interview. Was it the Grubb interview that included a call from "future guest" & Basin League alum Harry Safewright ... who was never heard from again?

Not exactly sure, but a caller that called in was a good friend of John Grubb, if that is the person

The re-posting of this interview made me wonder how Ron's interviews could be posted elsewhere.

I just sent this e-mail to the webmaster of the Motor City Radio Flashbacks website (https://mcrfb.com/).
As you probably heard, Ron Cameron died on February 20 (https://www.freep.com/story/sports/2024 ... 711085007/).

I have a bunch of interviews that Ron did on WDTK in late 2016 and early 2017 that you might be interested in. Many of them probably have historical value because Ron was one of the few sportscasters who was interested in talking with these people at that time.

Here is a list of interviewees:

Bill Scherrer ('84 Tiger)
Johnny Grubb ('84 Tiger)
Denny McLain
Roger Faulkner (soccer personality)
Jim Leyland
Bump Elliott (former UM coach)
Tommy LaSorda
Jerry Green
Ed Coil (former Pistons executive)
Bob Wolff (famous N.Y.-based sports announcer)
Hal Naragon ('68 Tigers coach)
Bryan Watson (hockey player in 60s and 70s)
Bob Miller (MLB player, UD baseball coach)
Dave Bing
Ed Giacomin (hockey player in 60s and 70s)

Former regular Super Rasiday was on with Riger yesterday. Would like to know why he had a falling out with Ron. Was it the co-host remark?

Probably because he's still pushing for the Lions to give Colin Kaepernick a tryout. He was promoting it again with Riger yesterday. You know Ron wouldn't put up with that nonsense.

In keeping with the former caller theme, our very own cowboy was on fox sports radio this morning with his semi regular history segment to wrap up the show

that's still Ben Maller's show, right? The same show that Cowboy once edited the Wikipedia entry for to make mostly about himself? I'm surprised they still let him on lol

Incredible that "Detroit's finest, I am your Highness" is still beating that drum. For someone who hasn't played in the league since 2016. I see that, after a long absence, he was last on with Ron on 2/6/22.
