The first hour of the December 24, 2016 broadcast is classic Cameron. (I can't help but think of the Happy Days episode "Guess Who's Coming to Christmas," with Ron probably going back to his motel room after the broadcast.) At times Ron came across (in the 1992 words of the Detroit Free Press' Steve Crowe) as a "self-promoting name dropper." The claim that the president of ABC called Mr. Cameron the "top sports host in America" begs for corroboration, as Ron also mentioned a Detroit Free Press article being published as a result of said laudation.
