The paper shuffling, nose sniffling, whispering makes for great radio. HOF worthy stuff

The yawning in the first hour was off the charts.

Lance laughed at Ron's clumsy cut-off of his story about Disco Demolition night.

Ron abrubtly cuts off the caller and tells Lance- "OUT OF TIME". You could tell Lance was taken aback by Ron

Ron thinks everybody in Detroit is an alcoholic.
One of my favorite Ron moments is when he was talking about hanging out in the centerfield bleachers at Tiger Stadium with "every drunk in Detroit."

Ron recounting his recent conversation with a fan at Ram's Horn. Bobbert, I assume he didn't ask for your name.
No he didn't. Darn, I missed it. I had to work on some other things.

Tread carefully, Lance, with that praise for Scott Harris.
So it was confirmed that Lance and Scott finally met?

He recounted that you said you'd been listening for 40 years, had never called & met him in person 25 years ago.

No mention of an actual meeting ... or any other direct contact.

If our paths should soon cross again, either at the library or Ram's Horn, I'm thinking I'll deliver my materials with, "Here ya go, Mr. Page." Or "Mr. Eichorn." It was only established that I knew who he was. Who he exactly was wasn't mentioned. I'm sure Ron would take it well if I thought he was either Bob Page or George Eichorn.

My God, I finally learned how to post another person's quote, must be the payback for fluffing on listening to Ron in real time! "This" is the best way to take the show in, regardless.

I remember Steve Howe blaming his alcoholic episodes on the assertion that "everyone in Michigan drinks too much." I don't mean to disparage a damaged soul, but Bob Welch became a heralded figure for being honest about his addiction or affliction.

Trophyhead, you need to click on the half-parentheses icon on the upper right-hand side of the post from which you'd like to quote.
