If Ron was still alive, would he be more offended by the slings & arrows he receives here, or by a thread that asks who he is?!radiofan1974 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 07, 2023 11:27 amRon getting some new post threads, the mystique for rsizzle continues

Re: Ron Cameron
With Ron's book editor pressing him on the need to beef up his chapter on the notables he was the last to speak to or see, I'm told Ron is scrambling to get the 101.5-year old Oscar Feldman as a guest. Maybe as soon as Super Bowl Sunday.

After each episode of Sportstalk with Ron Cameron, a police escort is required for that show's producer as he leaves the building.

When told by Denny that Bob Gibson still held a grudge over the '68 Series, a dismissive Ron, himself always a cauldron of resentments, said that Bob needed "to get over it." Physician, heal thyself.Bobbert wrote: ↑Wed Feb 08, 2023 10:06 amMidweek Memories

Ron was in his Mikie Mahtook fanboy days, seeing him as the future centerfielder.
The always well-informed caller Dave from Warren asked Denny - returning from a St. Louis autograph signing event - if former Cardinal greats Stan Musial & Curt Flood were in attendance, The two had then been dead 4 & 20 years, respectively.
Promoting his next-day guest, Mark Wilson, Ron noted that they would be talking about the "two great people [who] lost their lives," Ron Savage & Rich Fisher. "Both fans," Ron immediately added, saying that he was a "hero" to Savage. Ron assured us, though, they were both in a better place.
Re: Ron Cameron
Mr. Positive should be pretty happy this week. I wonder if he'll re-ignite the GOAT debate with Ron.

Re: Ron Cameron
On this weeks show will Ron address how he was trending in on the Buzzboard or as producer alex called the “Michigan Radio network”
Perhaps a question for Mr P to address-the going viral Ron Cameron
I would also say us regulars supported Ron in our own way against those who just dont get the Man, myth and legend

Re: Ron Cameron
I was listening to "Luney Tune" by Alice Cooper. Some of its lyrics articulated feelings I have while listening to Ron:
Is this all real?
Is this all necessary?
Or is this a joke?!?

Re: Ron Cameron
It's one of the great paradoxes of our time—Ron's incessant pursuit of attention, but his rejection of our attempt to help him reach that goal.radiofan1974 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 11, 2023 10:24 amOn this weeks show will Ron address how he was trending in on the Buzzboard or as producer alex called the “Michigan Radio network”

Ron's dominance this week on the Buzzboard is reminiscent of the run the Beatles had in the spring of '64.

Re: Ron Cameron
I wonder if Ron-O will have any opinions on Van Earl Wright, formerly of WDIV and CNN, who had a meteoric rise-and-fall in the topsy-turvy world of sports TV and radio. He had a pretty enlightening one-on-one interview with Devin Scillian on WDIV the other day. Taken down by his ego and a cocaine habit, Wright basically “lost it all” and he’s now a caddie at a golf course in ATL, seemingly humbled and OK with his world today. Ron may have a story about how Van Earl “drank (or snorted) like a hoot owl!”

Watched the interview, was interesting to hear his story. It would be interesting to see what Ron view of van earl was back in the dayuncleb67 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 11, 2023 12:56 pmI wonder if Ron-O will have any opinions on Van Earl Wright, formerly of WDIV and CNN, who had a meteoric rise-and-fall in the topsy-turvy world of sports TV and radio. Open line both today & tomorrow. Ron started to explain why Ted Kulfan wouldn't be on tomorrow, but got distracted by the game not being on his tv.
