Re: Ron Cameron
Well I haven't been around since that started. What it sounds like to me is that Ron gets the ideas from his Sports Weekly or whatever he reads. They might have a did you know section or trivia.

Hi Alex, I too thought you were already here unless it's someone else with insider knowledge. I am not going to speak for everyone here but I believe a lot of us thought you were the glue that held everything together when you guys were together. I'll never forget the one time not too long ago when Ron was running late and you started off the show while Ron was mysteriously late, without a hitch. Ron never came across on the air at least as disrespectful towards you and I believe that he had a respect for you because of your sports knowledge and many times you would call him out on his BS sports takes in a respectful fashion. Why do the other hosts that have been after you seem to have such a problem ? It comes across as at times shocking, quite comical, unlistenable at times, and just bad radio. I wish you were on the air with him to guide the reins. I'm assuming that you probably get along with most people you come in contact with cause Ron can be a very difficult person. As of late, I've been listening to see what shocking thing comes out of his mouth or see if he's going to get into fisticuffs with the person in the room with him, so you are missed by many listeners.
Re: Ron Cameron
There was a time very early on in his association with Ron when Alex would occasionally pretend to pass himself off as a listener calling in. Sometimes he clearly sounded like he was in the studio, other times he sounded like he was an outside caller. Once, when Alex was obviously in the studio, Mark Wilson, himself then an in-studio guest, reacted with some stunned bemusement when he bore witness to Alex trying to pass himself off as an outside listener calling in. I brought this up when I spoke to Alex not too long thereafter when he was screening Ron’s calls. To his credit, Alex didn’t try to dodge the issue, openly admitting that he was always in the studio when pretending to be a caller. So we have a history of Ron taking questions from both non-existent and insider callers.
Re: Ron Cameron
I have started listening to his show because of this thread.I remember listening to him back in the 70s on wxyz radio. How does this guy make a living.I would like to ask Alex if he knows how much air time costs at Wpon.

Re: Ron Cameron
Maybe Ron's getting a discount in exchange for some of the action on his restaurant accounts.
What are the storylines for today's show? Will Pvt. Greg from Warren report for duty? Will the guaranteed (unnamed) guest(s) materialize? How many calls from Kurt will it take for him to correctly guess today's quiz? Will Ron have received an email this week from Cowboy? Will "Guttterball" Tony emerge from the dead?

Re: Ron Cameron
The show will start off with Ron talking about how he looked at 4 different restaurants and we should expect an announcement in the next 2-3 weeks.
Re: Ron Cameron
Bless Nancy’s heart. She actually thinks Ron may have a large enough audience that would have some influence.

What a clown this Dave from Warren he just ruined the hour with Ron by looking up the answer on the computer.
Re: Ron Cameron
What happened to the West Bloomfield site he was excited about last week? And the new one he’s looking at borders Lake Orion & Commerce Twp.?! They’re about 20 miles apart!
Re: Ron Cameron
Didn’t Matt start his call decrying all the political talk?! And now he’s attacking Trump (& doesn’t like Biden, either).
