Re: Ron Cameron
I just started listening to Ron and he mentioned "They are hard workers", what ethnic group did he insult?
Re: Ron Cameron
Kurt's poking the bear by questioning whether the Tigers 2nd round pick of a catcher suggests that Rogers is not the answer to the Tigers long-term needs. Ron has said he would've traded Rogers straight-up for Verlander. And Ron is treating this draft as a normal one where late-round high school picks often go unsigned. If - in a condensed draft - the Tigers don't sign all of their picks that reflects poorly on Avila.

Re: Ron Cameron
Yes, Ron isn’t equipped to engage in any substantive conversation. The “Electrical” College. Haha.
Re: Ron Cameron
Ron seems to be convinced that Cowboy hasn’t been told that he’s back on the air, but I don’t think Cowboy can make calls to radio stations that don’t have toll-free numbers. And, without access to a library, he, like Ron, can’t email, either.
Re: Ron Cameron
2-4 pm. Hopefully, Matt will be back next weekend. The show’s not as “entertaining” without the dynamics the Ron-Matt relationship brings to the table.
Re: Ron Cameron
It seems like Ron is being dragged into the “Computer Age” as there was much talk of “Browsers” and laptops and streaming (which I believe Ron called “streamlining”) on Friday’s show. I missed Saturday’s show, and was rooting around a bit and saw there may be podcasts of “SportsTalk” available (on like a week delay)...maybe I’m mistaken.

Re: Ron Cameron
So amazing how smooth things ran for Ron - sans Matt. He was in a terrific mood for both shows. So apparently Matt's only responsibility is keeper of the email and twitter? This sounds like something Ron can easily hand over to the in studio guy that answers the phone since Ron is untrainable on technology. It does make for amazing radio with the Matt/Ron dynamics, perhaps that is their purpose.
Re: Ron Cameron
The ever moody Ron might have just been happy to be back on the air. Smooth for him is still so disjointed and off the rails
Re: Ron Cameron
I totally agree with this. Sounds like Ron coulda gone through some dark times while off the air. That being said, it seems like it won’t be long before the Real Ron rears his head again, berating those who are only there to help him get his show on the air.
Re: Ron Cameron
“There’s so much to talk about.” That’s Ron’s go-to line when he doesn’t have a guest. It’s never the case for the always unprepared Ron; it’s especially not true when, as now, there’s almost no sports being played.
Re: Ron Cameron
No surprise, but Ron’s math is way off. He said he was off for 4-5 weeks before he returned last week. Checking this thread, he was first off on 4/3, & didn’t return until 6/12, so a total of 10 weeks off.
