Even though he’s a gaffe machine himself, Ron has this fetish about correcting - correctly or otherwise - others grammar or mispronounciations. Notably, he always corrects anyone who doesn’t use a hard “g” in the 2nd “g” in Charlie Gehringer’s last name. Watching the FSN broadcast of the ‘71 all-star game in which Gehringer threw out the 1st ball, the legendary Curt Gowdy pronounced Gehringer’s last name with a soft “g”. If Ron could bring Gowdy back from the dead & have him as a guest, I think Ron would bait him to talk about Gehringer just so he could correct him.

The twitter can be a helpful thing but if that is Matt running his twitter, there is a lot of political nonsense on there. Not a very bright thing to alienate one's audience but Ron's lightbulb seems to be on dim. I can't believe Ron would let Matt run amok with his twitter, Ron was so paranoid that Matt was trying to steal his show. As far as Alex goes, I think Alex doing a full time job and popping in on Ron's show every now and then was good enough for him.

I don't think Ron even knows what twitter is let alone that he even has an account.

Yes, isn't wasn't too long ago that he spoke excitedly about being able to get emails. Through, Alex, initially, that is. I suspect he'll be looking for congratulatory telegrams when, behind some Plexiglas at maybe Louie's, he makes his triumphal return to the airwaves.

Sign me up for that return show! Matt working the live equipment and surveying the massive crowd on hand for a Q and A with the legend himself. Get Charlie Maxwell on or some old timer who made it thru all this and can validate his hatred of players salaries

I am totally speculating, because Ron is the cat with nine (thousand) lives. I do think there are some here with inside info!

If 313sports, the Alex-whisperer, is predicting Ron's return next week, it may actually be happening. And forget about yesterday's jobs report, THIS would be the greatest comeback in American history. Just imagining the distinctive Ron Cameron take on what's been going on these last few historic months is enough to have me counting the days, hours & minutes until 11:00 am, Friday.
