Re: Ron Cameron
July- August sounds about reasonable. I was thinking August myself, that his guy will come crawling out from whatever hole or motel he currently is penning that memoir. Hopefully he has given up the idea of doing those cockemanie live remotes.
Re: Ron Cameron
Ron "courting the masses" at a remote show after all this would be such a terrible move. I could see it though.

Re: Ron Cameron
If Ron gets free food, he would do a live remote on a crowded Carnival Cruise tomorrow.
Re: Ron Cameron
Ron knows no end..he said before he was on a Spanish and also urban channel. Who knows maybe he'll end up at like Kiss 105.9 or Hot 107.5
I'm sure they could use the cash he would pay..

Re: Ron Cameron
Ron needs to “sell those ads” to get back on the air, and nothing screams “Sign Me Up!!!” for radio advertising like getting the hard sell from Ron in the middle of a statewide shutdown that left most restaurants and small businesses struggling!
Re: Ron Cameron
Do you guys go by the rest home's and make fun of the old people several times a week too?
Sheesh, even in the past year, his show wasn't anymore painful or disjointed than a Biden interview.

New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

Re: Ron Cameron
I checked in today and no Ron appearance. The only radio host that disappears and has someone send individual emails to everyone that he's back on the air.
Re: Ron Cameron
Once he's back it'll be must listen to radio! Cant wait to hear about who's still with us and "going strong"

Re: Ron Cameron
Ron was briefly mentioned on the No Filter podcast yesterday w/ Frank Tanana. People have written into the show requesting them to have Ron as a guest many times. Eli wants nothing to do with Ron.
Re: Ron Cameron
That was hilarious to hear the “No Filter Podcast” actually talking about Ron Cameron! Denny mentioned something about Ron walking around with his pockets full of uncashed checks from advertisers (I dunno about that!). There was some truth to the fact one of the hosts mentioned Ron badgered prospective advertisers until they actually bought an ad “just to get rid of him”! I can attest to that, at a previous working stop, Ron badgered the owners until they finally caved and bought him dinner for THEIR trouble!!!Mr.Transistor wrote: ↑Fri May 08, 2020 9:58 pmRon was briefly mentioned on the No Filter podcast yesterday w/ Frank Tanana. Is it just me or does Bob Page sound really dramatic on these podcasts? It's almost stressful listening to him talk.
Re: Ron Cameron
Yeah, totally his schtick. He has a pretty annoying delivery, especially when puts emphasis on (often unimportant) words/phrases.wtfdetroit wrote: ↑Sat May 09, 2020 2:11 pmIs it just me or does Bob Page sound really dramatic on these podcasts? It's almost stressful listening to him talk.
Re: Ron Cameron
Just getting around to listening to the podcast. In addition to what’s been noted, Bob read from a listener’s email. The listener, Carl, wanted to know if it was Bob who retched at a recent mention of Ron’s name. No, Bob said, that was Eli. Carl went on to say in his email that he was hoping the trio would do a 30-minute reminiscence of Ron. Bob sneered, “What, is he dead?! I don’t think so!” Carl wanted them to “open the door and walk us into Ron’s probably very sloppy and chaotic world.” Bob recited what he called a great line from Carl: “Ron is the only person in any industry, whom I’m aware of, who’s worked for 50 years and not gotten any better at his craft.” Bob then laughed hysterically. Bob also pointed to Denny as the only one who appears on Ron’s short-wave radio show. He also talked about if he ever wrote a book about the amazing, classic personalities, including Dick Vitale, Bill Frieder, Eli, Denny, The Bird, all of whom & “so many others” would each get an entire chapter. “Ron Cameron Crazy,” not to be confused, I guess with the broadcast legend, John Cameron Swayze, “would be the only guy to get two chapters!” Eli then complained that Bob blew their 2 minutes for the mailbag by spending 1.5 minutes on “Cameron.”
Are you among us, Carl?
Bryce, please forgive me.

Re: Ron Cameron
I can’t believe I’m defending Ron but they should let him on. It would be absolutely comical. Eli has a bit of an ego and he’s afraid Ron would call him out. On a side note, I was listening to 97.1 and Mr Positive called in.
