I'm suffering from the exact thing, so I know exactly how it is.
I learned to keep the thoughts to myself though due to the way people react and treat me when I've shared it in the past, which definitely makes me feel even worse and more isolated.
I never want anyone to have to feel this way.

Y M Ionhere, stopnswop2, there are people who can help you. Sometimes the people closest to someone are not equipped to understand or get it, or they might not want to think you’re in pain so they minimize it. But there are people who care and there are also people who can help. I hope if either of you are in crisis or find yourself there in the future that you make a call and talk to someone. Selfishly, I’d like to read your thoughts here on all the goofy media stuff in 2019.

Dope fiend with two and a half years clean. Suicide was a daily thought process. It gets better.

I'm not a regular Fox 2 news viewer, but it's so awful and tragic to lose a member of the Detroit broadcasting community this way. And during the holiday season to boot. It also hits home for me as someone who has suffered from depression for most of my life. R.I.P. Jessica.

I’m so sad to hear this. I feel for what this beautiful and talented mother must’ve been going through inside, and my heart goes out to her husband, children and family. I liked her on air a lot. A H*** loss on so many levels. May her family make it through this terrible time.

When will we know how she took her life?

Why would you want to know such a gory thing?

It doesn’t have to be gory at all... but many people I know when you tell them something like that follow it up with “That’s terrible! How?/what happened”... so finding out how it happened is as much a part of it as any other...

Its a horrible shock anytime you hear of a suicide of someone you know of.
When its someone you know personally it physically feels like a punch in the stomach.

My deepest sympathy and prayers to her family, friends and colleagues.

She was becoming a fixture on Detroit morning TV and I thought in the last few years she was developing into a solid talent.

The correlation between LASIK and suicide is alarming to say the least.

I also empathize with any of you who have to deal with depression. Its as real and debilitating as any physical pain.

Yeah guys, there's so many better options. All other politics and bullshit aside, all it takes is just to have someone to talk to. When I got into recovery, my sponsor spoke of the "100 pound phone", meaning it was a Herculean task to pick it up and ask for help. I came close a few times. And I have also helped other people off that ledge. Ending it sure isn't going to help anyone. By all means, drop me a message if it starts to get to be too much. Even though it seems logical, taking your own life just makes it worse for everyone that loves you. A lot of times, you just need to know that someone cares. Make a list of things that make you happy. Listen to a band you love. Watch a favorite movie. Talk to someone. I know it can be a bitch sometimes but tomorrow is another day. One step at a time!

Dm00n and Mega Hertz,
Those posts alone actually made me smile a bit. Thank you guys. And thank you for the offer Mega Hertz.
I always feel like I'm just a bother when I talk to people about this stuff, so that really means a lot to me

There are those that call the cops on our phone when we see an emergency, and those that film it. Bet I can guess which one you are, cuz.

Although never suicidal, I've dealt with depression most of my life. It can take every ounce of your energy. To those that suffer, YOU'RE NOT ALONE.

My Jessica's soul know peace, and her family find strength.

Been there...... many times.

I can’t say that this was the best thing for her.... she will not know how much she was loved.

I know there’s help...... but it is a struggle.

This thing with Lasik and the recovery *is* alarming..... to say the least

Spread the word.... there is help. There is always help.

The tunnel is dark..... but there is always the light somewhere.

RIP JS..... ;,-(

I just turned on 2 for a minute and Deena Centofanti is a mess. She looks echausted and traumatized and cannot hold herself together. So sad to see.
