Speaking of 93.9 The River...
The station seems to be widening its playlist.
Heard a heavier song from Smashing Pumpkins last night that 93.9 wouldn't normally have played in the past. This morning, they played "Song 2" by Blur.
The station is also adding songs on the Hot AC side of the spectrum, too!
This morning, they played "Bad at Love" by Halsey and then (this will make a few of you throw up in your mouths) "Can't Stop The Feeling" by Justin Timberlake! Also hearing a wider variety of modern AC gold from the 90's.
Personally, I like 93.9's expanded playlist. The station sounded so stale when Phat Matt programmed it. The same songs seemed to be in rotation forever.

Awesome. This continues to be one of my favorite stations.

None as of yet, I'm pleased to say.
Santa Monica is not a bad song at all. Every other radio single I've heard from that band, though, is total garbage.

Can someone explain to me what is so special about Drake?
All I hear is a guy who cannot sing worth a damn, has no vocal range, and raps slow. A 12-year old could do a better job with writing lyrics.

That was a joke I can’t stand him either when that Calling on your cellphone song came out just about every Top 40 and R&B station jumped on it right away that’s all you heard Thank God we’re past that and besides I’m 63 so it’s way past my demographic.
Re: Speaking of 93.9 The River...
I noticed this a few weeks ago. I also notice their tagline is now "Real Music Variety" instead of "Real Rock Variety." Looks like they're officially Modern AC now (which in a way they already were). I've also heard Pink, Shawn Mendes (Cancon, but it fits) and The Chainsmokers, plus "Something to Talk About" by Bonnie Raitt (the song is Cancon). Reminds me a lot of Cities 97 in Minneapolis-St. Paul, which has been playing the likes of Pink and Bruno Mars for several years now.

They are changing they have to get more Adult in the music to offset sister station 89X.How much older can they go and still remain somewhat alternative is another Question .I’m sure we won’t hear Beyoncé on the River but then again who the hell knows anymore.

What's wrong with "Everything to Everyone"!?!? That's about the only song they made that I find myself liking anymore.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Mon Nov 19, 2018 4:21 pmNone as of yet, I'm pleased to say.
