Rate This has been proven correct! No warnings are in effect right now, just garden variety showers and storms. The cloud tops have warmed and storm structure is unimpressive.
The nasty stuff appears to be south of Fort Wayne. That might clip Lenawee or Monroe County late afternoon.
All modes of severe are still in play for Toledo.

I was kind of hoping it builds north a bit more but these ordinary storms may be sucking the juice out of it.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Wed Apr 05, 2023 1:09 pmRate This has been proven correct! Agreed. Got up to 76 degrees here (!!!) right before the decaying line of storms approached. 25 degree temp rise in two and a half hours' time.

Wow… driving through Livonia the bus recorded 78 running along 96. Just some rain and a breeze here in Ann Arbor now.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Wed Apr 05, 2023 1:11 pmAgreed. 3 Tornado warnings with the storms to the south and they are on a bee line for Ann Arbor and points east-northeast. NWS has conveniently left the Tornado watch in place for the area directly northeast of that line of storms.

Severe threat for Michigan is pretty much over for the day. Monroe and Lenawee will keep the tornado watch a bit longer, but for everyone else it's dropped.
Wellllll... la de frickin da

Also Washtenaw and Wayne. We will see if this last line does anything.Robert Faygo wrote: ↑Wed Apr 05, 2023 1:46 pmSevere threat for Michigan is pretty much over for the day. Monroe and Lenawee will keep the tornado watch a bit longer, but for everyone else it's dropped.

Yup. Nothing burger for nearly all of us. I'm happy. I don't need any more heavy rain, and I sure as hell don't need a power outage.

I kinda feel let down honestly. The way this level 3 threat was hyped up, I was expecting a bit more tbh. I guess at the end of the day it worked out.
All that said, I think this is where people get complacent. They hear a storm hyped up like this one and it ends up just being a minor inconvenience. So when future storms are hyped up they may take it less seriously.
And props to WLNS for the cut-ins and crawls. Even right now they are still showing the flood advisory at the bottom of the screen.

The EAS was activated on WDIV today. Turns out, just a test. Very inappropriate timing

It was mostly high wind and heavy rain for the Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Lucas County. I only heard Thunder once I believe. Any rain or storms remaining this evening will be more typical April rain.
Toledo got up to the mid 70's but I don't believe we hit 80.

The official high there was 79 at noon. Here at Metro the official high was 76 at 1pm.radioandtventhusiast wrote: ↑Wed Apr 05, 2023 5:52 pmIt was mostly high wind and heavy rain for the Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Lucas County.
