These guys need to enable the Patriot to do the facebook live. It's been used in the studio during the dialed in Detroit show. We need to see the magic and preparation that goes on behind the scenes in this well oiled machine.
I'm imaging the behind-the-scenes Ron would look much like the behind-the-scenes Ronald Reagan:

Play by play action and repeated phone number to call in. Desperation is now seeping into the show

Good interview with Alex?! Another hard-hitting, Mike Wallace-type inquisition.

Yes it would be something like that I would imagine. Ron is oh so well prepped and organized for all his shows.

I don't really think that was an interview. In fact I'm kind of shocked he viewed it that way.

I looked at it as Alex was cohosting for the hour

Alex did a great job & it goes without saying that Ron did a good job. So the blame for today's show goes to the audience. Or the Bossa Nova.

Producer is asking some good questions, enjoying his work. Expanded role perhaps

I don't believe it's ever dawned on Ron that thru the multiple station changes, time slot changes, old audience, lack of preparation for the show, stubborness, and let's not forget the charisma, perhaps his lack of callers is THE AUDIENCE FAULT! Lol

The NFL over/under projections provide Ron with hours of content.

Ron never stays down too long. There's always the hope of getting a great guest in the next week(s). And the next big restaurant is always around the corner (in a less than desirable locale, Ron belatedly realizes).
