Re: Ron Cameron
No, Ron, Jimmy D’s scheduled for tomorrow, not next week. No wonder Kurt’s so confused.
Re: Ron Cameron
Ron, if you can get the (late) Jerry Lewis of Martin & Lewis fame you might double your audience.
Re: Ron Cameron
Still no love for Blake Griffin.
Re: Ron Cameron
Dead air on 1400 the last few minutes. Luke still hasn't bothered to fix it.
Re: Ron Cameron
Ron knows that the Tigers' new president has no idea what he's doing.
Re: Ron Cameron
I read an article about the novelist Sherwood Anderson in which they said that much of his fiction was autobiographical and much of his autobiography was fictional. That seems like a good way to describe Ron Cameron.ShempLives wrote: ↑Sat Oct 08, 2022 2:19 pmThe first hour of the December 24, 2016 broadcast is classic Cameron. (I can't help but think of the Happy Days episode "Guess Who's Coming to Christmas," with Ron probably going back to his motel room after the broadcast.) At times Ron came across (in the 1992 words of the Detroit Free Press' Steve Crowe) as a "self-promoting name dropper." The claim that the president of ABC called Mr. Cameron the "top sports host in America" begs for corroboration, as Ron also mentioned a Detroit Free Press article being published as a result of said laudation. Re: Ron Cameron
Ron brings to mind this Lily Tomlin line: “I can handle reality in small doses, but as a lifestyle, it’s much too confining.” Yes, for Ron, reality is vastly overrated.
Re: Ron Cameron
With a scheduled hockey guest, will Ron - whose listening comprehension skills are somewhat lacking - ask Jimmy Devellano to confirm that Gordie’s (the obvious) GOAT even though he's stated his contrary opinion seemingly every time he’s been on with Ron?

It’s almost as automatic as greatest thrill question

Re: Ron Cameron
Mark sounds a lot like Kurt
Re: Ron Cameron
For personal reasons, of course, Ron has hated the Lions as long as I've been a listener. I remember one mediocre, but not disastrous, season when, without fail, he predicted a Lions loss each game. Always prefaced with an oh-so heartfelt hope that he would be wrong.
